These past several weeks have been a bit of a whirlwind. I
was sick a bunch, finally after a couple trips to Kampala they’re pretty sure I
have tick-borne relapsing fever (sounds a lot worse than it really is, I
promise). We’ve gone on an Easter Kampala extravaganza, spent the night at a
ridiculously nice resort (our Easter splurge), danced the night away at a restaurant called Bubbles O’Leary (no, I’m not kidding), shopped for miraculous things
like soy milk that we can’t get in Gulu, rafted the Nile, and my best friend is here to work with us for the summer- eek! Our girls went on holiday, our women are working from home, we shot the new Imani line, we're having a counseling seminar (baby mania!) and about a million other things.

Moral of the story is I suck at keeping this thing updated, but life is pretty good :)
I've never been this tired in my life, but it's a good tired, a tired that makes me sleep deeply and fully. I miss my family and friends more than I ever thought possible, but it makes me thankful that love crosses oceans and continents and cultures. Some days are really hard, but learning to lean on God for my strength every single day, more so than I've ever had to before, is incredible.
I'm learning the language. I am in love with our staff, our women and our girls. I've had the opportunity to shoot for Imani and hone my photography (and editing!) skills. I'm excited for a new season with Zion Project as I take over interim Country Director (I would love your prayers for this transition!). God is moving and shaking, in this place where He is needed so. I'm thankful to be a part of it.
